Whether you're a music aficionado, an art enthusiast, or someone looking to engage with the local community, this week's lineup has something for everyone.
Kicking off the week is the much-anticipated 6th Annual Austin Arts Mixer, happening on August 13. With complimentary bites and beverages, along with a plethora of door prizes, it's a perfect opportunity to mingle with fellow art lovers and discover new shows and projects.
For those who prefer to be part of the creative process, the Buildsong Group Songwriting Sessions offer a unique experience on August 13. Led by a professional music producer, participants will collaborate to write an original song, proving that music-making can be a powerful tool for building relationships and teams.
Music lovers won't want to miss the legendary Bob Schneider performing with Mitch Watkins on August 14. Known for his eclectic style that blends folk, rock, and more, Schneider's live performances are a staple of Austin's music scene. Meanwhile, Bluegrass Junction on August 14 and 15 promises a foot-stomping good time with live music and dance, featuring Tim Eriksen and Wayside Bluegrass.
As the month progresses, the Buddy Guy 90 Tour on August 28 will celebrate the blues legend's milestone birthday with a performance that's not to be missed.
